💡 THE IDEA

The "MORE intercultural competence" project aims to organize a training course to train education professionals on the management of intercultural conflicts created by a situation of mass migration.

Through the educational tool MORE, as a role-playing game, participants will be invited to reflect on the social and personal dynamics underlying migratory processes: prejudices, stereotypes, fears, integration, etc. The game itself will be presented as a useful means of responding to micro-conflict situations that everyone is called upon to manage in their professional environment.


🎯 OBJECTIVES

  • Reflect and clarify the concept of individual identity;

  • Understand that individual identity connects with collective individuality (us);

  • Understand those society-based collective identities delimit an area of inclusion and an area of exclusion (you);

  • Recognizing and deconstructing stereotypes and prejudices against foreigners;

  • How we acquire information (data) about the topic (which are the sources, media literacy);

  • Know how to recognize the difference between data and interpretations on the migrant topic;

  • Provide participants with a practical educational tool for contributing to the raising of intercultural awareness in their communities and daily activities


👤PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTS

  • Youth Workers, Teachers, Trainers, Educators 18+ years old, preferably over 25

  • Individuals coming from migrant backgrounds who are currently working with young migrants and refugees

  • Committed to promoting human rights, inclusivity, and positive youth development

  • Willing to enhance their knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to migration and intercultural competence

  • Motivated to participate in all phases of the project (preparation, implementation, dissemination)

  • Living in Armenia 🇦🇲


🤑CONDITIONS


The project is fully funded by Erasmus programme of the European Union 🇪🇺 . Participants buy their own travel tickets and get reimbursed after participation in TC with the maximum of 275€ budget. The accommodation and food are covered by the organisers. There is a participation fee. Check it carefully in the application form (You do not pay if you are not selected to participate). Participants are also responsible for getting their own travel insurance.


INEDNET is helping to get a visa, whatever is needed for the project.

Everyone who fits the requirement of this call can apply for the project. However, we have limited spots, but we are getting in average 100+ applications and cannot select everyone. You do not have to have a Schengen or any other visa to apply. Being vaccinated is not mandatory. Only shortlisted applicants are invited for an interview if needed for the selection process.
