🎯 AIM AND OBJECTIVES

The year 2023 was the hottest year ever, and it's only going to get worse. Extreme weather, rising sea levels, and environmental damage are getting worse and worse. But not everyone is affected the same way; some people and communities have it tougher than others.

The climate crisis affects us all! We need to act now to protect our planet and ensure a good life for everyone today and in the future and also to protect those who suffer from climate crisis more than others.

We are inviting young people to join this youth exchange to hear messages from the future, learn how to make a difference, and become part of the change!


  • Explore the future prospects of the climate crisis and its effects on people and the environment;

  • Understand personal, local and global links with the issue of climate crisis;

  • Explore our personal actions that “contribute” to the climate crisis and environmental destruction;

  • Discuss and understand how climate crisis affects different groups of people (age, gender, social/economic status, geographical area, etc.);

  • Work on individual and group actions that tackle the climate crisis.


🔍 PARTICIPANTS' PROFILE

  • 16-23 years old

  • eager to learn more about the climate crisis and strengthen their civic role in fighting for a better life for present and future generations;

  • have at least a basic level of English;

  • are available for the entire programme of the youth exchange;

  • at the time of the youth exchange, they are not a part of any other Erasmus + long-term project (e.g., Student exchange, Solidarity Corp or Erasmus Internship).


The profile of the youth leaders:

  • 18+ years old;

  • Able to lead and support teams of young people through their learning journey during the youth exchange;

  • Committed to contributing to the smooth implementation of the youth exchange and ensuring the safety of their participants;

  • Able to facilitate non-formal learning sessions related to the topic of the youth exchange (not necessary but highly appreciated).


💱 COSTS

The food and accommodation will be provided and paid for by the organisers. Travel costs will be counted based on the distance calculator of the European Commission and reimbursed by bank transfer after the course (in EUR) through the sending organisations. The maximum travel cost according to the distance calculator for Armenia is 395 Euro.
